Bournemouth Academy of Modern Music is a post 16+ music college dedicated to nurturing the talents of aspiring musicians. Our mission is to provide a dynamic and immersive learning experience for students with a passion for music performance or music production.
Great Performance Opportunities
At BAMM, we are committed to offering a variety of performance opportunities. Our students can showcase their talent on major stages, including gigs at The Old Fire Station in Bournemouth and events like Glastbammbury. We also host Friday Performances and provide access to commercial gig opportunities for our students.
Purpose Built Facilities
Welcome to our creative space, featuring 8 unique rehearsal rooms and a spacious performance stage. Each room offers its own distinct vibe being fully equipped with top-notch gear, including Black Star, Marshall, and Orange Amps, as well as Natal drum kits and a complete PA system. Whether you're rehearsing or performing, our facilities are designed to elevate your experience and unleash your creativity!
Masterclasses
At BAMM, we invite industry experts throughout the year to share their invaluable knowledge and experience with our students As a BAMM student, you also gain exclusive access to masterclasses and specialised clinics hosted by Absolute Music. These opportunities provide unique insights into a rewarding career in the music industry.
Equipment Needed
Please ensure that all students come prepared with basic stationery, a notebook, a USB stick or SSD drive, headphones, and a headphone adapter. Performance students are expected to bring their instruments daily, along with necessary leads, and vocalists should also bring a microphone. While we have equipment available to borrow at college, it is preferable for musicians to play their own instrument when possible. Drum kits and amplifiers are provided. Laptops can be borrowed while at college, but we highly recommend students have their own where possible.
